Located in the Hyde Park Historic District, the Hyde Park Plaza Building was designed by FleischmanGarcia to be a contemporary interpretation of the bungalow architecture prevalent in the District.
The site contains several very old oak trees, and through prudent planning of the building and parking, all were saved. The 34,000 sq. ft. three-story office building houses the offices of FleischmanGarcia.
The offices of FleischmanGarcia feature a reception area furnished with classic chrome and leather chairs. The custom cherry and bleached oak reception desk is accented by a contrasting use of the same materials on both the floor and wall beyond. A glass partition allows the adjacent conference room to become an entry focal point and also provides a view to the building exterior. The wood finishes, pastel walls and accent lighting were used to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
